06 : The County Tavern, Northampton – 30MAY10
We had a nice wee break, in fact Mad Dawg and Kenbar are still on their's but Joolz, Filthy, and I needed to practise some new material so this fine establishment was the perfect opportunity to try some and it worked very well. We only play a handful of pubs now and they always look after us in here. We had to call in Mark McLaughlin on drums who played a blinder considering he only heard the new songs the day before.
The new album is proving to be an exciting adventure and a lot of people are working behind the scenes to push our music forward, this album and the people who have recorded on it and even had a part in its existence will hopefully get something from its longevity. Joolz is getting great reviews on her "delightfully understated vocals" and myself well "Croak" is good. For these songs that have rattled around my head for so long to move from scraps of paper to musicians recording to me listening this week on Celtic Fringe radio, I can only say a big thank you to everyone who has and is still taking part.
