06 : King Georges Hall, Blackburn – 25APR08
Thank you to Geoff Peake and thank you to The Black Mountain Bootleggers who organised this appearance for us at what is without doubt a beautiful venue up north.

Four hours in the bus, an interview with the Irish Post on route on the mobile – reporter Fiona Audley rang us from the London office to get the gen on what BFCH is up to this Spring…a chat about March, Stiff Little Fingers, New York, 'New York?' and Mad Dawg wanted to take the phone and ask HER some questions…he is a boy!
Anyhow, look out for us next week in Rock & Reel and The Irish Post (sold at all decent newsagents) and see what they made of this travelling band in 2008.
We had a laugh, we delivered our music and we earned some new fans in a new area and made some new friends.
Thank you Blackburn, we are pleased you got our music.
See you again,
Joolz
It was great to travel wit the band on this fine occasion, the craic was good and O'Brealey had packed some extra cans for what turned out to be a four-hour journey what wit roadworks and tings. Pete and Geoff had put together an evening and we appreciated the gig in a new venue. The support band were a good little outfit, fronted by an excited and respectful Irishman, The Black Mountain Bootlegger – hopefully, we'll be returning the gig favour at the Drill Hall in October.
It's getting all too familiar now with support bands that you get caught up with the pre-gig band ting and you don't get any quality chat time with the other artistes, a few words about strings and thats it. It would have been something else to have got a proper session going before the gig and after but I 'spose things have probably changed now in that everyone's in a hurry to be somewhere else.
