The Craic was good, the sound crew were good and well organised, the audience around 5000, the band played for an hour and the crowd where jumping, young and old alike it was an exceptional evening, then as soon as we finished the countdown to the spectacular firework display.
We sold a great abundance of our music and T-shirts, we thanked the organisers and retired gracefully to the Red Lion Hotel where we enjoyed fine company and a great pint of Bass Ale. We were invited to sit alongside Patrick, a Harp player who was visiting Spalding and purchasing some fine art – small world just keeps getting bigger. We play all over the country now and are very privileged to do so, whether it be with my full complement, or on my own there is nowhere quite like home and at this moment it is Lincolnshire.
Spalding are to be applauded for their efforts and enthusiasm for the arts and music they are offering and if more like-minded towns take notice then it shall be no more a COUNTY HELL. We return to the theatre in two weeks where we got our first ever booking and it holds lots of fun memories, for me that is where my music is best experienced, so in little corners of our County it is still alive. And at this time of year we plan our diary for 2008, we have new festivals, new stages, new horizons and new friends to be meet, we thank you all for your support.
