Band From County Hell
The Partin Glass.

16 : The Anchor Inn, Friskney – 04AUG07

It was to be one of those nostalgic moments when the band was to become part of the pub's annual festivities. The punters turned up from far and wide and were ready for a good night – Anthea and Mick look after the band with great affinity and their welcome is greatly appreciated. This is a great boozer and anyone short of anything to do of a weekend there is always a good band on and camping is free.

Hammer and O'Brealey camped over so getting up the next morning was hard, it was the first time I have heard Hammer moan about birds, he was inundated, he reckons he hasn't risen so early in such a long time…mmmm?

The band played excellently and out of nowhere came a tribute to a fine lady that had passed away the day before she was someone Joolz had spoken in length with the year before and her name was May Devlin. Mugger, Jock and Ben played 'The Partin Glass' and it was out of this world, the slowest I had ever heard that piece of music played and the most haunting, it sent a shiver down my spine and when Mad Dawg kicked it in it blew us away.

SUPERB NIGHT. GHOSTS ARE UPON US.
