13 : Great Ponton, near Grantham – 23JUN07
Great little gig – it was like the start of an Irnham Beer Festival 12 years ago. You know you can't knock these gigs as we all know they grow and grow and 20 years later you have a Glastonbury.
The band played well and the Committee were good to us and there were some good little bands on. You can catch some interesting sounds from these young hopefuls and it's their weekend so they're going to milk the moment and fair dos it gets you through a working week.
Next stop auld Ma Doherty's 80th party everyone is welcome but please bring a card. It's an 8pm start at the Nags Head Heckington.
She has 12 children, the family are from Tipperary and they know how to party. Anyone who wants a session bring your instruments, fiddles, banjos, etc., – Band From County Hell home gig.
