05 : Spilsby Theatre – 07APR07
First time at this venue for BFCH and it was a sell out. Excellent gig and the sound was finely tuned and meticulously honed for an evening of well-crafted song.

They were outstanding from arriving to leaving we were truly entertained. Hammer McKeys was the hardest working, from working the room wit the piano in the bar to getting his other coat on and playing the main stage and then having to sing on an unannounced 'Pigeon Paddy' – Jock seems to bring out the unbringable and the best in people, like a conductor in a room full of mental mania he can turn it into something beautiful and crazy but wit an air of calmness and passion.
Anyway, what was I saying…good gig…the prison cells came in handy, this venue was once an old court house and THE BAND GOT LOCKED IN THE CELLS FOR 15 MINUTES WHILST McLELLAND went to the bar…the band where seriously p*ssed off and he nearly didn't make it to the second set.
